Stabilise the structure.
Strengthen what's tired.
Bracing stumps, posts and footings for homes that show ongoing movement. Plus all the structural jobs around the house: verandahs, slab edges, columns, bracing stumps, extension footings. We stop the problem, then make sure it stays stopped.
The structural jobs
around the house.
Two related families of work. The first is stabilising and strengthening: bracing stumps, posts, columns and footings on homes with active movement that does not yet warrant a full reblock or underpin. The second is the structural work older homes always need eventually: verandahs, slab edges, footings, bracing for extensions.
Same people, same trade. If it holds the house up or stops it from moving, we do it. Engineered where the job needs it, permitted where it has to be, signed off on every completion, and warranted for 15 years.
Structural work across the whole house.
If it carries load, holds something up or needs reinforcing, this is the page. Below is a sample of what we get called out for week in, week out.
Reinforcing existing stumps with bracing for homes that show ongoing movement but do not yet need a full reblock.
New stumps added between existing ones to firm up bouncy or springy floors and stop deflection in long bearer runs.
Replacing dropped or rotted verandah posts, re-pouring the pad footings underneath, bringing the verandah line back to level.
Slab edge repair, slab corner support, column reinforcement on extensions and additions that have moved away from the main house.
Re-pouring failed pad footings under posts, bracing stumps, sheds and outdoor structures. Engineered where required.
Where an extension is moving differently from the original house. Underpinning or bracing depending on the cause.
Diagnose. Engineer if needed. Fix it properly.
Smaller jobs run in days, not weeks. Larger structural work takes the same engineering and permit path as a full underpin.
On-site inspection
Free, no obligation. We diagnose the actual cause of the movement, not just the symptom.
Right-size the fix
Sometimes the answer is bracing and a few extra stumps. Sometimes it is engineered footings. We tell you which.
Permits if required
Structural work is permitted, smaller bracing usually is not. Either way we organise it. You sign one form.
On-site work
Bracing installed, footings re-poured, posts replaced, columns reinforced. House stays supported throughout.
Sign-off & 15-year guarantee
Final inspection, paperwork, written 15-year guarantee on the work in your hand.
If a brace will do, we say so.
We are reblockers. We are happy to quote a full reblock when it is the right call. We are also happy to walk away from a job that just needs three braces and a crack patch.
Bracing, footings, structure.

The questions we get called out for.
My verandah has dropped. Can you fix just that?
Yes. Verandah work is a common standalone job for us. We replace the post or posts that have failed, re-pour the pad footings underneath, and bring the verandah line back to level. Usually a 1 to 3 day job.
Do I need a full reblock or just bracing?
Depends on the age and condition of the existing stumps. If they are concrete and only one or two are tired, bracing and a couple of new load points is often the right call. If they are timber and 80 years old, a full reblock is cheaper across the life of the house. We tell you which on inspection.
My extension has separated from the main house. Is that an underpin?
Sometimes, yes. If the extension is on a slab and dropping, it usually needs underpinning. If it is on stumps and just bouncing, bracing and additional load points may be enough. The cause matters, not just the symptom.
Do you do shed and outdoor structure footings?
Yes. Pad footings under sheds, carports, gazebos and outdoor rooms are part of what we do. Engineered where required, permitted if structural.
Are smaller jobs worth your time?
Yes. We do single-stump replacements, one-post verandah jobs, and small bracing work all the time. The 15-year guarantee applies just the same.
Will a brace stop the movement permanently?
If the cause is identified and addressed, yes. Bracing without fixing the underlying cause (rotting stumps, dropped footing, leaking pipe nearby) is a band-aid. We diagnose first, brace second.
When the bigger fix is the right call.
Reblocking & Restumping
When the existing stumps are well past bracing and a full replacement is the cheaper long-term call.
